How cute is that little panda?
Well, sit tight just one hot minute – I’m about to tell you how you can WIN it. Or one like it. Or if you’re a man, one made for men.
Recently, thanks to the Facebook Powers that Be (and stalking, and messages), I recently caught up with Kate, a girlfriend of mine from a few years back in Minnesota. Kate is a fellow native of St. Paul’s suburbia, is a PR professional, a socially conscious and caring citizen, and is a current resident of NYC. She and her boyfriend, Clint, spent some time in Chicago where they started a business together – making t-shirts that reflected their favorite parts of the city and pieces of their lives.

Awesome, right? I chose this one, called Anchored. It’s a cute little [scared] panda, looking at the Manhattan Skyline from Brooklyn and was designed by a super talented, Mister Brad Jonas.
I love NYC. The city just mesmerizes me every single time I’m there. I love how huge the skyline is, how tall the buildings are, and how bustling every single day is there. I also love this little “time-out” moment, kind of feeling you get from the image in this picture.
Scared Panda | About the Company
From their website:
Scared Panda is a t-shirt shop based in New York City. We make shirts that reflect our experiences and lives through the eyes of a panda.
Each shirt has a story behind it. Maybe it’s from a trip we recently took or a story a friend told us, but every shirt we make is a depiction of an experience that has stuck with us.
We started Scared Panda because we wanted to create something. We love to travel and learn about new cities and cultures and we love t-shirts so starting a t-shirt company that shares unique perspectives of different cities just made sense. Some of the best things we’ve discovered in life have been a result of changing the way we see things. Wayne Dyer said, “When you change the way you see things, the things you see change.” To us, that’s what life is all about, changing, learning, discovering. We hope, with these t-shirts, to spread a little bit of that around.
Let me reiterate the best part of that:
“When you change the way you see things, the things you see change.” (Wayne Dyer)
I just LOVE that. And I LOVE these t-shirts. And one lucky reader of doniree.com is about to WIN one. For free. Of your choice. From ALL of these choices.
You want a t-shirt from Scared Panda because:
- They’re COMFY. The shirts are printed on The Track Shirt, by American Apparel. The polyester (50%), cotton (25%), and rayon (25%) blend make it super soft and stretchy.
- During the entire year of 2011, 10% of all proceeds from t-shirt sales are donated to Growing Home. Learn more about Growing Home, a Chicago non-profit that “provides job training for homeless and low-income individuals through a social enterprise business based on organic agriculture.”
- They’re UNIQUE. Scared Panda only prints 150 of each shirt, so chances of you seeing someone wearing the same shirt as you? Slim to none. And if you do? Then you obviously BOTH have amazing taste.
- The designs are awesome, and inspired by personal experiences. Which is really, really awesome.
And now onto the fun part – the giveaway!
